New Build & Existing Basement Waterproofing System

We were delighted to have been asked to design and install a Structural Waterproofing System BS 8102 compliant to this Victorian property in Lymm, Cheshire.

Following the initial ground excavation by the main contractor (whom we have undertaken several projects for) to accommodate the new basement, and removal of all the internal divisional walls within the existing basement, thus creating a large open space, it was time to pour the water resistant concrete forming the shell of the structure and providing a Type B Structural Integral Protected structure.

Meaning that the shell of the structure is ground water resistant, a Type C Drained Protection system internally will be installed in line with construction progress that will entail bespoke detailed serviceable drainage and pumping system, thus complying with BS 8102, an independent insurance backed guarantee will be provided upon completion of the waterproofing project.

This contract is currently on-going, but you can see the outline of the rear of the structure which will be all glazing, leading into the existing basement, a part mezzanine floor will complete the design.
