Flooding Store Room

Working in conjunction with an Architectural Practice in Stockport our services were called upon to resolve a long standing issue with flooding to the store room of the Pendlebury Centre in Stockport.

Our inspection revealed ground water seepage through the porous external ground retaining masonry, therefore a waterproofing system complying with BS8102 Grade 3 was specified. Following the required preparation works to the existing basement walls and floor, the system was installed swiftly and without any difficulties.

An internal sump and pump system was installed adjacent to an external drainage outlet at ground level and flushing points completed the perimeter drainage system.

A screed was laid over the floor membrane followed by an independent framework to the walls to support the plasterboards thus forming the final wall finishes.
